City-County Partnership to Improve Local Recreation Options Breaks Ground

Public-Private Partnership with KemperSports for Family Fun Center

Stockton, CA – Swenson Park Golf Course commenced the construction of a new family entertainment facility on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, promising enhanced recreational options for residents of Stockton and San Joaquin County.

This project is a collaborative effort between San Joaquin County, City of Stockton, First Tee San Joaquin and KemperSports. It aims to establish a miniature golf course and an upgraded driving range featuring cutting-edge Toptracer technology for games and skill development on the City Park property.

“This public-private partnership will improve the quality of life for our residents by creating a winning formula – overall savings for the community and the company by providing public park land – to offer affordable options for local families.” said Tom Patti, County Supervisor.

The upcoming Family Fun Center will boast 12 hitting bays at the enhanced driving range, incorporating Toptracer technology. This addition will transform the traditional driving range experience into an interactive and engaging activity, appealing to golfers of all skill levels. Furthermore, a 16,000 sq. ft. miniature golf course will be built, encouraging even the youngest community members to develop a love for the game.

KemperSports projects that the construction will take approximately six months, with a grand opening anticipated in early 2025. Besides the miniature golf and upgraded driving range, the facility will also be equipped to host parties and events.
